01. PICK A DATE

Choosing the perfect date for your wedding can be a tricky decision! For some couples, the dream location is the priority, and they're flexible when it comes to the date. However, more often than not, the date is the key factor, and the location follows suit. One important thing to keep in mind is that if the date is more important than the location, you might have more flexibility, allowing you to consider dates a few months ahead. On the other hand, if the location is your top priority, it's crucial to plan well in advance to ensure that you secure your desired venue and date, especially since popular venues can book up quickly.

02. PICK A LOCATION

When choosing the perfect location for your wedding, it’s all about what truly matters to you as a couple. Do you dream of a charming rustic venue, a stunning beachside ceremony, or a sophisticated hall that offers everything you need with a “clé en main” experience? This is a deeply personal decision, and it’s essential to have an open conversation with your partner to understand what resonates most with both of you. Your wedding location will play a huge role in shaping your overall vision, so start by identifying what feels most connected to your style and values. From there, you can begin narrowing down options to find the place that will make your day unforgettable!

03. SEASON & TIMELINE

Ah, the age-old question of choosing the perfect season for your wedding! While summer remains a popular choice for many couples, there’s been a noticeable shift towards the charm of early fall, particularly in September and October. The cooler temperatures and rich autumn colors offer a beautiful backdrop, making it a favorite for many couples. However, keep in mind that depending on your chosen season, the timing of sunset will change, which could affect your wedding timeline, especially if you're planning an outdoor ceremony or reception. If you need help navigating this, don’t hesitate to reach out—I’d be happy to assist in creating a timeline that works seamlessly with the natural light and your vision!

04. GUEST LIST & VENUE

When selecting your venue, one of the key factors to consider is the venue's guest capacity, as it will determine the overall feel of your wedding. Many venues will specify the maximum number of "seated" guests they can accommodate, which can vary widely—some grand halls might host over 500 guests, while more intimate venues might only fit 50. The decision comes down to what type of celebration you envision: a cozy, intimate gathering with close family and friends, or a lively, extravagant celebration with a larger guest list? Ultimately, the choice is yours, and it’s important to match your venue with the size of your guest list to ensure a comfortable, enjoyable experience for everyone. Our role in this process remains consistent, so when it comes to finalizing the size, that’s entirely up to you!

05. NEED HELP?

Planning a wedding can definitely feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be! While it’s natural to want to handle everything on your own to save money or ensure everything is just right, there’s no harm in seeking help. Sometimes, the best way to create the wedding of your dreams is by enlisting support from friends, family, or even a professional planner. A little extra help can not only ease the stress but also bring fresh ideas and expertise to the table. If you’re unsure where to start or need tips on how to gather the right kind of support for your big day, feel free to reach out to me—I’d be happy to help guide you through the process!

06. LITTLE DETAILS

It’s easy to get caught up in the big picture when planning your wedding—and it’s important to! But sometimes, the little details are the ones that truly elevate your day. Things like color balance, the choice of flowers, and even the location where you're getting ready can have a significant impact on the flow and feel of your celebration. For example, if you choose a location that's cozy and relaxed for getting ready, it can set the tone for a calm, stress-free day and give you more time to enjoy your guests or capture beautiful moments during your photos. Don’t underestimate how these small elements can shape your experience! It's often the little things that create lasting memories and make your wedding feel uniquely yours.

FAQ

Are the travel expenses included in your packages or covered additionally?

Most of the time, the answer is YES! I’m here to make your life as easy as possible. Dubai, Montreal, the moon… wherever you want, I’ll give you one price that covers everything—literally everything! No hidden fees, no surprises, just pure, unadulterated coverage.

Do you carry backup equipment?

One key thing every wedding photographer should have? Backup equipment—because let’s face it, cameras have a mind of their own sometimes. I carry two cameras on me at all times, not in my bag like a normal human, but strapped to my waist like a photographer superhero. Why? Because camera breakages happen more often than you'd think.

And here’s a fun fact for you: cameras record to memory cards, and those little things like to fail at the worst possible moment. But don’t panic—I shoot to two memory cards. So if one decides to take an unexpected nap, the other’s got your back. This is non-negotiable—every photographer gets a card failure at least once or twice a year, so I like to call it “preparedness with style.”

Are our wedding photos backed up after the wedding?

I back everything up in three places—because one just isn’t enough when it comes to your wedding memories. Oh, and it’s all fully encrypted to keep those pesky hackers away. Your privacy is my top priority; in this digital age, security is more important than that last piece of cake at the reception.

I also keep your RAW files for 2 years (yep, I’m basically your digital hoarder), and after that, I delete the culled images like an overzealous cleaner. The JPEGs and selected RAWs from the final delivery? Those are archived into their fancy final stage, safe and sound. So, if you ever lose your wedding photos (God forbid), don’t worry—I’ve got them backed up in more places than your favorite snacks.

How long does it take to receive the photos after the wedding and how will those be delivered?

We like to keep the excitement really going! After a few days, we’ll send you some teasers to keep you on the edge of your seat, followed by a slideshow to make you cry happy tears, and then, about 8 weeks later, the full gallery! It’s like a wedding Netflix series—just with fewer cliffhangers and more love.

Do we need a second photographer for our wedding?

Having a second photographer isn’t absolutely necessary, but it’s like having a backup dancer—just makes everything better. They’re there to catch all the angles you didn’t know you needed, like when you're both walking down the aisle or sneaky candid moments happening across the room. They're basically an extra pair of eyes—and when you’ve got over 100 guests at your wedding, they’ll be the secret agent getting all the shots you’ll be glad you have!

Do we have to feed you on our wedding day?

Ah, the meal question—a classic! I do love when couples can provide a meal, because let’s be real, being on my feet from 7am to 11pm (or later) is like running a marathon, but with a camera. A warm meal and a chance to sit down really helps keep those creative juices flowing.

Now, the reason I ask in advance is because, on the big day, if I wait until the last minute, sometimes the venue can’t whip up something in time. And trust me, you don’t want me hangry while trying to capture your first dance. If food can’t be provided, I usually take an hour (or more) to find something to eat. And if your venue is in the middle of nowhere, that “quick snack” could turn into a mini road trip. So, keeping me fed and on-site? Definitely the way to go! Your photographer—and your wedding photos—will thank you!
